Baseball Stadium Food Getting Real Gross At This Point In Season
Cincinnati, Ohio
Baseball fans were revolted this week to find that stadium food has gotten pretty damn gross. With record setting heat gripping much of the country for the last month, ballpark goers have reported congealed cheese, structurally unsound hot dog buns, and tepid or lukewarm beers.
“It was a nightmare, my nacho cheese dip was chunky.” said one hungry hungry Reds fan. “They weren’t the ones that were supposed to be chunky either. Normally the cheese here has a silkier consistency but this was all wrong. It’s been keeping me up at night.”
Even staff are admitting how bad it’s getting. Some workers describe fatigue as the 162 game regular season drags into its 6th month, with stadiums failing to keep pace with the scorching heat and fans’ insatiable desire for food, or team management just losing interest in ballpark amenities.
“We ran out of fresh buns last week, had to use a pack that had been sitting in the back of the walk-in since opening day.” a member of park staff said. “When we went to management about needing more they just seemed shocked that people were still showing up to games.”
